¡Bienvenidos!

I've finally started my blog! I suddenly feel too shy to write anything! One main reason I wanted to publish a blog is to share Isabelle pictures (and family pics, too) more conveniently and timely. Hopefully you, our friends and family, will enjoy being a bit more connected to us Brooskbys all the way out here in little ol' Kansas.

For Spring Break we went to Omaha for a couple days with our friends the Gambles. We went to the Henry Doorly Zoo and to the Winter Quarters (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) Temple. It was a 100% blast.

The hippo tried to eat Isabelle, but she wrestled it down by the tooth.

Isabelle & Will are best of friends.

Isabelle wasn't even afraid of the animals.

The "rainforest" at the zoo reminded me of Central America. It was just the right amount of humidity. Jill (who is pregnant) wasn't a big fan of the humidity and heat.

It wasn't until the morning of our trip that I realized I didn't have a bathing suit (due to my previous one getting ruined from the last hotel we swam at. What was in their chlorine we may never know.) So I dubbed myself photographer for the event and sat on the side of the pool. Word to the wise, be sure to bring extra pants if you're going to attempt ANY poolside-sitting activities. So, here's the only family picture of "us" swimming.

Don't let her face fool you, she really did enjoy swimming.

While the Gambles attended the temple, we experienced the Mormon Trail Center with the kids.

Isabelle and Will looked so cute dressed as pioneers at the Center.
